CRANBERRY TWP — Cranberry Public Library will be having an after hours teen movie night from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Jan. 20.

Teens can bring friends and will vote on the movie they want to watch, as well as indulge themselves in popcorn and refreshments.

It is not required for teens to stay for the entire time.

GROVE CITY — The Butler County Community College Adult Literacy program is seeking volunteers to work with students to increase literacy skills or obtain a GED.All volunteers will have a tutor coordinator, access to instructional materials and opportunities for professional development.The Department of Education requires that volunteers have a college degree or be currently enrolled in a program leading to a degree.Those interested can call Nancy Atwell at 724-287-8711, Ext. 8350, to register for the next orientation, which is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 20 and Jan. 27.Notices of local upcoming news should be received by the Focus Department one week in advance of the event.
