Moraine State Park offers late season archery hunting through Jan. 16. Some areas in the park normally closed to hunting will be open to archery only. Call 724-368-8811 for details. Winterfest with the Moraine Preservation Fund takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 21 at McDanel’s Launch. Activities include a chili cook-off contest, ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking, and demonstrations of ice carving and dog sledding. Crafts and food will be available.
