Shirley A. Lotz Hutchison Walrond

Shirley A. Lotz Hutchison Walrond, 88, of Chippewa Township, Beaver County, died Wednesday.

Born July 12, 1923, in Evans City, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice Mae Gaiser Lotz.

She was a member of Chippewa United Methodist Church.

She had retired from Penn State University, Beaver Campus, where she was a secretary. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Evans City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Hutchison in 1995; a son, Jack Hutchison; and a sister, Marion Bicehouse.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, J. Ellis Walrond; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Steve Shoemaker of Beaumont, Texas; two stepsons and their wives, John Walrond and Nina Burkardt of Loveland, Colo., and Tom and Ricki Walrond of Renfrew; nine grandchildren, Whitney Owens, Ashley Frushour, David, Michael and Stephanie Shoemaker, Dylan and Catherine Walrond, and Christina and Ken Walrond; and 10 great-grandchildren.

LOTZ — Friends of Shirley A. Lotz Hutchison Walrond, who died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at

Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801 4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Rodney E. Smith officiating.
