Buck Wissinger

Buck Wissinger of Brookville, formerly of Saxonburg, died Thursday.

He was born Sept. 25, 1938, in Butler. He was the son of Lawrence and Mabel Doerr Wissinger.

He had worked at Du-Co Ceramics in Saxonburg and the Brookville School District.

Buck was a member of the Brookville Sportsman's Club. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed playing softball when he was young. Buck was an outdoorsman and enjoyed going to camp to hunt deer.

He is survived by his wife, Debra; four sons, Scott (Tiffany) Wissinger of Parker, Bucky Wissinger Jr. of Saxonburg, Brian Wissinger of Saxonburg and Shane Wissinger of Reynoldsville; two daughters, Wendy Richards of Washington, Pa., and Kristy Bryant of Summerville, S.C., one brother, Roger (Marcia) Wissinger of Butler; two sisters, Blanche Rome of Butler and Betty Burke of Butler; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Velma Parr, Maxine Harvey and Jean Young; one brother, Herman Wissinger; and one granddaughter.

<B>WISSINGER </B>— Visitation for Buck Wissinger, who died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, will be at the <B>Shumaker Funeral Home</B> in Brookville, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday with services at 4 p.m.
