Charles W. McClymonds, 73, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, formerly of Grove City, died Friday evening at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Slippery Rock on Nov. 22, 1939, he was the son of Charles and Norma Renick McClymonds.

Charles was an operating engineer for Union Local 66 in Pittsburgh.

Surviving are his wife, Valjean Rouse McClymonds, who he married on April 1, 1965; a daughter, Tiffeny Lynn Lee (Hartwig Harmes) of McKees Rocks; two sisters, Karen Sue Barkley and Cheri McClymonds, both of Slippery Rock; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph McClymonds.
