Martha Kowal, 78, of Butler passed away Thursday at her home.

She was born March 8, 1933, in Butler, the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret Cunningham Slomers.

Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Billman of Butler; a son, William Kowal of East Butler; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers, Andy Slomers of Georgia, Robert “Buddy” Slomers of Butler, Joey Slomers of Arizona, and David Slomers of Butler; and three sisters, Ruth Pollock of Butler, Margaret Brown of West Sunbury and Patty Slomers of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Kowal Sr.; a daughter, a son, a sister, and two brothers.
