Butler Little Theatre will open its production of the comedy “Smell of the Kill” Friday at the theater at One Howard St.

The story deals with what happens when three malicious wives and their miserable, unloving husbands experience a big chill.

Curtain is at 8:15 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, through Jan. 28.

The Butler County Symphony Orchestra resumes its 63rd season with a concert at 7:30 pm Feb. 11 at the Butler Intermediate High School Auditorium, 551 Fairground Hill Road.The theme for the season is “A Night Of…,” and this concert will focus on “A Night of Song.” Guest conductor is Bruce Lauffer, one of the three conductors up for the symphony's top job.
