PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club and Sonny Skinner of Sylvester, Ga. fired a combined 7-under par 65 Wednesday on the Wanamaker Course to move atop the leaderboard after three rounds of the 54th annual PGA Senior-Junior Championship.

The duo — with Skinner as the senior member — have a score of 194 — which is 22 shots under par, holds a one-stroke lead over Mark Faulkner (Marion, Ill.) and Rick Schuller (Chester, Va.) and Bud Lintelman (Purcellville, Va.) and John O'Leary (Reston, Va.).

The final round will be played today on the Ryder Course.

DENVER — Jamie Moyer agreed to terms on a minor league contract with an invite to the Colorado Rockies' spring training, pending a physical.The 49-year-old lefty didn't play last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his throwing elbow.Moyer has played 24 major league seasons, starting with the Chicago Cubs in 1986.

NEW YORK — Marty Springstead, who at the age of 36 in 1973 became the youngest umpire crew chief in World Series history, has died. He was 74.Major League Baseball said that Springstead was found dead at his home in Florida on Tuesday night.
