Marilyn J. Napoletan
Marilyn J. Napoletan, 76, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday at Kobacker House in Columbus following a long, harsh battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Butler on Oct. 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Mong) McCormick.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ann Napoletan and granddaughter, Jessica Napoletan; her wonderful family of caregivers at Eason House; a myriad of dear friends; brothers, Richard (Toni) McCormick and Robert (Lita) McCormick; sister, Barbara (James) Isovitsch; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley (Aime) Baptiste.
Marilyn retired from Nationwide Insurance in 1998 following a 30-year career that began in the Butler regional office. Over the course of her career, she touched the lives of countless Nationwiders, building lifelong friendships along the way.
Prior to her illness, she enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling, gardening, spending time with friends and being her granddaughter’s greatest fan. A lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers devotee, she was never without her Terrible Towel on Sunday afternoons during football season.
