Kenneth C. Brennan, 74, of Evans City died Monday surrounded by his loving wife and children at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida.

Ken was the only child of the late Kenneth G. and Anna J. Brennan, born Sept. 7, 1937, in Pittsburgh.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Patricia L. (Giel) Brennan, who he married on Aug. 9, 1958. He also is survived by their four children, Kenneth R. Brennan and his wife, Sue, Robert A. Brennan and his wife, Marlene, Deb Lindewirth and her husband, Pete, and Sandra Cox and her husband, Dave; and 13 grandchildren, Kenneth F. (Emily) Brennan, Janice (Bryan) Stephenson and Julie Brennan, Tricia, Robert (Amber) and Christopher Brennan, Holly, Heidi, and Samantha Lindewirth, and David, Victoria, Pamela and Heather Cox.

Ken was the founder of Brennan Builders, Inc. Starting as a young boy, Ken learned masonry, plumbing and carpentry from his uncle, Lou Jakovac.

After graduating from Wilkinsburg High School, he soon had his own carpentry crew. While studying electrical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Ken became a registered master plumber and managed his growing businesses. As the business grew, Ken assisted other businesses to become established.

Ken enjoyed many hobbies. He was an antique car collector and restorer and was a member of numerous car clubs. He and Pat loved to travel in their motor home. At age 18, Ken became a licensed pilot. He also enjoyed flying model airplanes and loved to hunt and spend time with his grandchildren.

Ken was a longtime member of the Grace Church of Harmony and an active supporter of several missionaries and organizations.

BRENNAN — Friends of Kenneth C. Brennan, who died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at

Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Grace Church Of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony, with the Rev. Peter J. Everett, officiating.
