Thomas G. Horstman
Thomas G. Horstman, 81, of Butler passed away at 7:50 a.m. Sunday at the Butler Inpatient VNA Hospice following an extended illness.
He was born June 20, 1930, in Butler. He was the son of the late Vincent Horstman and the late Isabella Grabbe Horstman.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Slippery Rock. He retired from the Track Gang at Armco.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Birckbichler Horstman, whom he married, Oct. 28, 1950; two daughters, Loraine Horstman of Slippery Rock and Mrs. Edward (Linda) Riding of South Carolina; two sons, Richard (Shaunee) Horstman of Fenelton and Donald (Deborah) Horstman of Butler, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Edward Horstman of Butler and Gerald (Barbara) Horstman of Slippery Rock.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Anna Leitem Horstman, who raised him from the age of 6; one sister; one grandchild, Brenda Brenneman, and one great- granddaughter, Ashley Deal.
<B>Horstman</B> — Services for Thomas G. Horstman, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, were today with the Rev. David Maitland officiating. Burial was in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Harrisville.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Butler Inpatient VNA Hospice, Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Arrangements were by the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
