Mary E. Callen

Mary E. Callen, 86, of Natrona Heights, formerly of Fawn Township, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday at UPMC St. Margaret Memorial Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born July 20, 1925, in Fawn Township, to Theodore Smith and Jennie (Danik) Smith.

She was a homemaker and had worked in laundry and housekeeping at St. Barnabas, Gibsonia, for 16 years.

Mary was a Protestant. She enjoyed traveling and reading.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary (Lou) Dietz of Saxonburg, Donna (Paul) Painter of Carrollton, Ohio, and Crystal (James) Davis of Lower Burrell; two sons, Earl (Michelle) Callen of Tarentum and William (Sandy) Callen of Greeley, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Callen, who died in 1992; three sons, Scott and Barry Callen and an infant; a grandson, Brian Dietz; and a sister, Dorothy Donohue.

<B>CALLEN</B> — Relatives and friends of Mary E. Callen, who died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at <B>Duster Funeral Home</B>, 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor John “Rick” Gamble, pastor of the First Church of God, Brackenridge, and Tammy Morgan officiating.
