Virginia Alene Sherman Pincek Namesnik, 80, of Butler passed away at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Butler on Dec. 18, 1931, to the late Clarence P. and Mary E. Hickey Sherman.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She married Isadore Pincek on July 3, 1952, and he passed away in May 1971. She married her second husband, John Namesnik Sr., on Jan. 28, 1994, and he passed away in October 2003.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Patricia (James) Nocera of Butler, Mrs. Kathleen (Brad) Thompson of Butler, Mrs. Lisa (George) Phillips of Butler, Miss Michele Pincek of Butler and Mrs. Marsha (James) Baldacci of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Davis of Butler; one stepson, Mr. John (Kay) Namesnik Jr. of Butler; 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole and Ashley Nocera, Jennifer Kakert, Nathan and Caitlin Thompson, Heather and MacKenzie Fagan, Whitney Baldacci, and Linsay, Jonathan and Zachary Pincek; numerous stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and these special family members, Debra Pincek, Margaret Murray, James Fagan and Kathy File.

She will be sadly missed by her two companions, her grand-doggers, Luckee and Izee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two sons, Mark and Thomas Pincek; two brothers, Norman Sherman and Wayne Hickey; one stepson; one stepdaughter; and one stepgrandson.

<B>NAMESNIK</B> — Friends of Virginia Alene Sherman Pincek Namesnik, who passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Saint Michael Cemetery.The family requests memorial donations to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA. 16001The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. on Tuesday for a Scriptural Wake Service.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
