Evelyn Lynch
Evelyn M. Lynch, 88, of Natrona Heights passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
She was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Natrona, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Loretta Huth Halin.
Evelyn worked for John and Pat Clark Accountants in Natrona Heights, then for Timothy A. Gifford Accounting in Tarentum and also for Wilder and Company Certified Public Accountants in New Kensington.
She was a member of the Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights and the former Ladies Guild of the church where she was a former president.
Evelyn enjoyed baseball, football, bingo and watching the old game show channel.
Evelyn and her late husband were foster parents through the years for 13 infants with the Catholic Charities organization.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra A. (Robert) Natchie of Butler; her stepson, Alvin W. (Mary Jane) Lynch Jr. of Natrona Heights; her stepdaughter, Susan Buday of Freeport; eight stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat- grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin W. Lynch Sr., on Nov. 5, 1961; her son, David Lynch, on Nov. 5, 1961; brothers, Linus Halin and Retired Lt. Col. Paul Halin; a stepson-in-law, Ronald Buday; and stepgranddaughter, Denise McGuire.
