Isabella Marcella Summerville
Isabella Marcella Summerville, 93, of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot, formerly of Chicora Road, Butler, died peacefully early Wednesday morning at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
Born May 24, 1918, in Allison Park, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Charles Hieber and the late Sarah Ann Goodrich Hieber.
Isabella was a homemaker. She was a member of the West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church. Isabella held all of the offices in Oakland Township PTA and was a Cub Scout den mother, a Girl Scout leader, a member of her bowling club and a member of the Democratic Club. She enjoyed music, dancing, football, baseball, gardening, ceramics, traveling and, most of all, spending time with family.
Isabella is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Weiland of Butler; four sons and their wives, Fred and Kathleen Summerville of Butler, I. Phillip and Lou Ann Summerville of Fenelton, David and Mary Kay Summerville of Chicora, and Dean and Jessica Summerville of West Sunbury; nine grandsons, Daniel Weiland, Nicklas and Allison Betro, James and Tina Weiland, Joseph and Tracy Betro, Alan and Heather Weiland, Aaron and Tammy Weiland, Fred Summerville Jr., David and Ashley Summerville Jr. and Nicholas Summerville; eight granddaughters, Lisa and Kirby Lotz, Lori and Thomas Turner, Carol and Thomas Leith, Lorie and Larry Bartley, Carrie and William Heidenreich, Britney Summerville, Morgan Summerville and Rachael Summerville; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; one brother, Ralph and Elaine Hieber of Fairmont, W.Va.; one sister, Evelyn and Vernon Miller of Gibsonia; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hieber of Cranberry Township and Marcy Hieber of Allison Park; and 22 nieces and nephews.Isabella was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Dean Summerville, who she married on April 6, 1939, and who passed away in April 1973. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Arlene Betro; a grandson, David Weiland; and four brothers and two sisters-in -law, Robert (Grace) Hieber, Frank Hieber, Phillip (Marge) Hieber, and Calvin Hieber.
<B>SUMMERVILLE </B>— Friends of Isabella Marcella Summerville, who died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Mary Kitchen officiating.
