Joseph E. Luntz, 68, of Saxonburg, formerly of Richland Township, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Passavant.

Born Nov. 28, 1943, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Carl and Clunon Golden Luntz.

Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked as an engineer for Macy's. He was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church and formerly attended the Crossway Church. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and cooking.

Surviving are his wife, Rosemarie Shawkey Luntz, who he married Aug. 4, 1990; three daughters, Jordan Rose Luntz of Saxonburg, LaVonne (David) Swaney of Butler and Monique (Scott) Moody of Sarver; a stepson, Butch (Amy) Kline of Pittsburgh; his siblings, Marion Sauer of Gibsonia, Bernadette Schlereth of North Braddock, Raymond (Margie) Luntz of West Deer, Carla (William) Rankin of Gibsonia and Lawrence (Barbara) Luntz of Cranberry Township; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Billy, Natalie and Monica Swaney, Scotty, Samantha and Evan Moody, and Allison Kline; sisters-in-law, Margaret (Karl) Engwer, Janet (Teddy) Sandifer, Barbara (Mike) Washburn and Kathleen (Randy) Lewis; one brother-in-law, John (Nicole) Shawkey; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, LaVonne Tachior; brothers-in-law, Rob Sauer and Gerome Schlereth; and his mother-in-law, Rose Shawkey.

<B>LUNTZ</B> — Friends of Joseph E. Luntz, who passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg.Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev.
