Catherine L. Pryor, 50, of Butler passed away Saturday at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

She was born Oct. 25, 1961, in Butler, the daughter of the late Bruce W. and Roberta (Boyle) Pryor.

Cathy belonged to the Salvation Army and worked there for 35 years. She was also a Sunday school teacher and did housekeeping. She was a member of the Women's League and volunteered for VA Butler Healthcare.

Cathy was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan, Mark Martin was her favorite NASCAR driver, and she enjoyed going to stock car races with her aunt and uncle. She liked listening to music by Bret Michaels. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and her nephew Luke was her greatest joy. Cathy always had a smile on her face.

Surviving are her brother, Bruce Pryor of Butler; a sister, Betty Bergbigler of Chicora; three nephews; two nieces; a number of aunts and uncles; and her companion of 29 years, John Ritzert.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a nephew.

<B>PRYOR</B> — Friends of Catherine L. Pryor, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, will be received at the Salvation Army, 313 W. Cunningham St., Butler, from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Private burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 313 W.
