County drug task force files charges against 4

The Butler County Drug Task Force this week arrested a pair of suspected dealers in connection with investigations, one dating back to last year.

Two other alleged traffickers also face charges in cases recently filed by the task force.

The four suspects are Jonathan Lee Buchanan, 25, of Venango Township; Michael P. Diaz, 42, of Butler Township; Dakota Hinchberger, 19, of Brady Township; and Kylee E. Williams, 20, of Lima, Ohio.

All the defendants are charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Officers arrested Buchanan and Diaz on Wednesday. Buchanan is in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail. Diaz is free on $25,000 bail.

Buchanan is accused of selling four pills of the potent painkiller oxycodone to an undercover officer Feb. 9, according to court documents.

The alleged $60 deal occurred in Butler within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

Diaz allegedly sold $30 of marijuana from his Beech Road home to an undercover officer on Oct. 13, documents said.

Hinchberger, meanwhile, is wanted on an arrest warrant on charges he allegedly sold four stamp bags of heroin to a police informant for $60 on Aug. 10 at Memorial Park in Butler.

District Judge Pete Shaffer issued the warrant earlier this year.

In another case, Williams is accused of selling crack cocaine to an undercover officer for $50 on Oct. 14 in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street, documents said.

Butler County Detective Tim Fennell, who heads the task force, said authorities in Lima, Ohio, recently nabbed Williams. She later waived extradition.

Williams was returned Thursday to Butler County and is jailed on $25,000 bail.
