BUTLER TWP — The Butler High School softball team will hold a softball clinic beginning Saturday.

Cost is $25 per girl age 14-and-under and will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the high school softball field.

The clinic also will be held March 31, April 7 and April 14.

Butler City Baseball will hold final sign-ups on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marinaro Baseball office at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Grant Street across from the Arbors building.

The Butler Prep League will hold a mandatory meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Marinaro Baseball office.The league requests a representative from all leagues playing in the upcoming season to attend the meeting. Karns City youth football is accepting nominations for board elections. Nominations will be taken Monday, March 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chicora Elementary School Gym. Elections will take place on Monday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the same location.

A 5K run will be held at 8:30 a.m. March 31 at Strawberry Ridge Golf Course in Lancaster Township.Walkers also are welcome.Registration will conclude at 8:15 a.m. before the participants take to the course, which will follow Scott Ridge Road.Fee is $15 for all high school track and field members, $20 for everyone else. EAST BUTLER — The 26th annual Iron City Beer Arm Wrestling Championship will be held March 30 at the East Butler Fire Hall.Entry fee is $20 and each contestant will receive a T-shirt.
