If legislation mandating preabortion ultrasound becomes law,Gov. Tom Corbett has said he thinks a woman who does not wish to see the images can simply close her eyes. What of the physicians who are forced to provide this test against their medical judgment?

Requiring ultrasounds prior to abortion in defiance of any medical indication for the procedure totally nullifies a physician’s autonomy and is tantamount to the socialized medicine that Corbett is supposed to protect us against (when the Religious Right permits him).
