Arlene S. Miller

Arlene S. Miller, 78, of Valencia passed away on Tuesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Dec. 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late J. Russell and Margaret Stockdale.

She was a longtime member of the Mars Alliance Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 20 years. She also worked during elections at the Adams Township Municipal Building. Her joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved children and animals. She regularly took mission trips with donations to Cucumber, W.Va.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Charles W. Miller; two sons, Lonnie E. Miller and Timothy C. (Kimberly) Miller; three grandsons, Casey (Nicole), Charles and Matthew; two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Aiden; her sister, Norma Hoffman; and five nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley M. Kennedy (Duane), and two nephews.

<B>MILLER </B>— Friends of Arlene S. Miller, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Mars Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, with the Rev. Jeff Lawther officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at the church.
