ELLWOOD CITY — The Red Barn Players will hold auditions at 2 p.m. April 15 in Ellwood City and at 7 p.m. April 19 in Zelienople.

The Ellwood City auditions will be held at the Holy Redeemer Ministry Center, 603 Bridge St., while the Zelienople auditions will be at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave.

Shows to be cast are:

• “The Lady Who Cried Fox,” June 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15 and 16

• “Tuesdays with Morrie,” July 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20 and 21

• “Over the Tavern,” Aug. 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24 and 25.

• “Suds,” Sept. 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28 and 29.

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra will conduct an audition workshop and mock auditions from 5:15 to 7 p.m. April 15 at Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Ave.

Students will have an opportunity to play orchestral excerpts from the audition list and get feedback from PYSO sectional coaches.

The PYSO will have regular auditions for the 2012-13 season for woodwinds on May 14; for brass, percussion and harp on May 17; for viola, cello and bass on May 19 and for violins on May 20.
