Dorothy R. Singer

Dorothy R. Singer, 81, of Butler passed away at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Butler to the late Wallace Savanich and Anna Bungar Savanich.

Mrs. Singer was a homemaker and a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Singer is survived by her husband, Robert Singer, who she married Aug. 16, 1958; two daughters, Sheri Singer and her boyfriend, Kurt Rodgers, of Lawrence and Lori Bible and her husband, David, of Cranberry Township; two brothers, John Marchyshyn of Butler and Larry Marchyshyn of South Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

<B>SINGER</B> — Friends of Dorothy R. Singer, 81, of Butler, who passed away at Friday, March 2, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Ledford officiating.Entombment will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum.Memorials may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.Online condolences can be made at www.thompson-miller.com.
