Margaret Rettig

Margaret Ann Rettig, 84, of Butler, passed away Sunday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Lyndora, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Ferijo) Roskovski.

Margaret retired from Butler County Prison in March 1990 after 17 years of service. She belonged to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the VFW Post 249 Auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughter, Paula D. (Gordon) Wheeler of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; three sons, Lloyd “Bill” (Debbie) Rettig Jr. of W.Va., Terry (Corrine) Rettig of Florida, and Mark R. (Terri) Rettig of Clarkston, Mich.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She also is survived by three sisters, Anna Propovski of Lyndora, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Stefanko of Lyndora, and Mrs. Michael (Charlotte) Aquilino of Frederick, Md.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd William Rettig, who died Feb. 7, 2012, and by three sisters and four brothers.

Jefferson St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon Wednesday. The Rev.
