Jail time for shoplifter
Brandie Blystone has been in the newpaper so many times the last few months for shoplifting that I feel I’m getting to know her.
What is it going to take to get her in jail?
Also, I read an article in a Pittsburgh newspaper about a defense attorney wanting a furlough for his client to get an eye examination and glasses at the county’s expense. This was after he was charged with the torture slaying of a mentally challenged girl from Greensburg.
The attorney went on to say that denying the request would be a violation of the prisoner’s constitutional rights against suffering cruel and unusual punishment.
I have a simple solution — like myself and other people without eye care insurance do. The prisoner should be taken to a dollar store to buy reading glasses.
Then, after he gets those glasses, he should be taken to the cemetery so he can read the headstone of Jennifer Daugherty.
Then he will know what cruel and unusual punishment is.
