Gayle W. Priester
Gayle W. Priester, 69, of Butler passed away at 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born June 11, 1942, in Butler, the daughter of the late Dale W. and Alice (McAndrew) Young.
Gayle enjoyed country music, traveling, playing slot machines, cooking and spending time with her family.
She retired after 26 years from food services at the Butler School District.
Surviving are her husband, Larry F. Priester, who she married Dec. 27, 1993; two daughters, Sharon Higgins of East Brady and Tracy (Jason) Brink of East Brady; one son, Mark (Donna) Higgins of Butler; two stepdaughters, Sheila Priester of Butler and Michele (Shawn) Nolan of Butler; one stepson, Master Sgt. Larry S. (Colleen) Priester of Jacksonville, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Matuke of Butler; two half-sisters, Margaret Fabrizzi of Ohio and Ruth Brown of Butler; one niece; and two nephews.
