Mary Phillips Cutts

Mary Phillips Cutts, formerly of Chatham, Mass., and Needham, Mass., died Tuesday at the Arbors of Bedford in Bedford, N.H. She was 73 years old.

She was born in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late Mary (Bruggeman) and Benjamin D. Phillips Jr.

Mrs. Cutts was an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley, Mass., and the Florence Crittenton League for many years. She enjoyed the ballet, symphony and, most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

The beloved wife of the late Robert Whipple Cutts, she was the loving mother of Elizabeth “Lisa” Patten and her husband, Richard, of Bedford, N.H., and Chatham, Mass., and Christopher Phillips Cutts of Missoula, Mont. Mary was the sister of Barbara Mayer of Greenwich, Conn., and stepsister of Jeff Coffin of Cranberry Township. She was the dear grandmother of Benjamin Arthur Patten, Grace Elizabeth Patten, Robert Cutts and Jeanene Kelly.

<B>CUTTS</B> -— Visiting hours for Mary Phillips Cutts, who died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, will be in the <B>Eaton Funeral Home</B>, 1351 Highland Ave., Needham, Mass., from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
