Regis Paul Burns
Regis Paul Burns, 90, formerly of Butler County, died Friday at the Manchester Presbyterian Lodge, Erie.
Born in Chicora on June 18, 1921, he was a son of the late John A. and Stella (Blatt) Burns.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He was owner, secretary and treasurer of the Burns Manufacturing Co. and managed the Star Drive-In Theater for many years. Regis was a member of the Commodore Perry Barbershop Chorus, and Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartets Singing in America (SPEBSQSA).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Charles W., James F., Thomas D., Father John, Bernard L. and Philip J. Burns; and two sisters, Mary E. Burns and Agnes Maloney.
Survivors include a brother, Robert L. Burns of Chicora; four sisters, Catherine B. Burns of Chicora, Sr. Theresa Burns, S.C., and Sr. Mary Michael Burns, S.C., both of Pittsburgh, and Patricia Bogniak and her husband, John, of Corry. He also was uncle to many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
