Howard Tarr Edwards, 84, of Cabot passed away Friday at Concordia of Cranberry in Adams Township.

Born May 21, 1927, in Homestead, he was the son of Howard Edwards and Clara Tarr Edwards.

He retired from U.S. Steel in Saxonburg after 30 years of service. He also was a school bus driver for the South Butler School District for 20 years.

He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, the Victory Lodge 694, the F&AM in Butler, the Valley of New Castle Consistory and the American Legion Post 683 of Saxonburg.

Surviving are his children, Wendell (Kathy) Edwards of Fairmount City, Pa., and Linda Newman of Butler; his stepsons, Keith (Linda) Stivason of Cabot and Charles (Pam) Stivason of Cabot; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lois Jean Edwards; and his second wife, Edna Edwards.

<B>EDWARDS</B> — Friends of Howard Tarr Edwards, who died Friday, April 27, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert H. Niggel officiating.
