Delores A. Uncapher
Delores A. Uncapher, 76, of East Brady, formerly of Turkey City, died early Sunday morning at UPMC-Seneca following a brief illness.
Born March 21, 1936, in Karns City, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Lucinda Forrester Early.
On July 10, 1953, she married Howard R. “Jonah” Uncapher. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Delores worked at Rheas Corners in Shippenville and at Wolf's Camping Resort in Knox, retiring in 2005.
She loved gardening, crafts, bird watching and crocheting, and she donated the mittens she crocheted to Community Action. She also loved to create games and activities for her children, grandchildren and others.
Her survivors include her four children, Diana Shumaker and her husband, Michael, of Karns City, Michael Uncapher of East Brady, Joann Knight and Brian Rex of Turkey City and Ricky Uncapher of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Amy Fierst and her husband, John, Wesley Knight and his fiance, Bridget, and Christopher Shumaker and Carly Knight; one great- granddaughter, Lilliana Fierst; and three sisters, Florence Schreckengost of Kittanning, Ruth Wissinger of Schelocta and Marian Early of East Brady.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
<B>UNCAPHER</B> — Friends of Delores A. Uncapher, who died Sunday, May 13, 2012, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at <B>William N. Rupert Mortuary</B>, 430 Mendenhall Ave., Knox.Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home immediately following the calling hours. The Rev. Dan Myers will officiate. Interment will be in Monroe Cemetery in the village of Monroe, Beaver Township, Clarion County.Memorial contributions may be given in the name of Delores A.
