Glenora Rodford

Knoch grad to retire from U.S. Army

On July 1, Lt. Col. Glenora “Glennie” Rodford will retire from the U.S. Army after more than 31 years of service.

Rodford is a 1981 graduate of Knoch High School, a 1988 graduate of Grove City College with a bachelor’s degree in international business, and a 1997 graduate of Central Michigan University with a master’s degree in administration.

Rodford’s officer assignments include platoon leader, 12th Psychological Operations Company, Washington, D.C.; assistant operations officer, 3rd Psychological Operations Company, Pittsburgh; indications and warnings officer, National Military Joint Intelligence Center, Washington, D.C.; operations officer, U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion, Albany, N.Y.; assistant professor of military science, Duke University, Durham, N.C.; promotions board recorder, U.S. Army Personnel Command, St. Louis, Mo.; career management officer, Army Reserve Active Duty Management Directorate, St. Louis, Mo.; reserve affairs officer, Department of Army General Officer Management Office, Washington, D.C.; personnel policy integrator, Army G-1, Washington, D.C.; deputy brigade commander, 66th Military Intelligence Brigade, Wiesbaden, Germany; and staff officer, Office of the Chief, Army Reserve, Ft. Belvoir, Va.

Her military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with five oak leaf clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award with four oak leaf clusters, the Army Superior Unit Award, the Good Conduct Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge and the Army Staff Badge.

Rodford is married to retired Army Warrant Officer Peter Rodford of Staten Island, N.Y.

She is the daughter of Willard and Carrie Butler of Saxonburg and Robert and Mona Ford of Renfrew.

U.S. Army Reserve Spec. Kimberly Nagy graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

She is the daughter of Catherine Nagy of Cabot and granddaughter of Gloria Olszewski of Gibsonia.

Nagy is a 2005 graduate of Knoch High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2010 from Chatham University, Pittsburgh.
