Gladys Jean Kramer

Gladys Jean Kramer, 96, of Mars died Tuesday evening at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Green Township, Indiana County, on March 31, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ira B. and Mabel C. McCullough O’Neill.

Gladys was a 1934 graduate of Green Township High School and was valedictorian of the 1945 class at Indiana Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was a member of Mars Alliance Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Faye Kramer of Mars; a son-in-law, Harold Staub of Erie; and three grandsons, Nathan Staub (Emily) of Erie, Andrew Staub of Virginia and Douglas Staub of Erie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kramer, who died Feb. 4, 1976; a daughter, Carol Kramer Staub; two sisters, L. Faye Warr and Lois McDermott; and a brother, Paul O’Neill.

KRAMER — Friends of Gladys Jean Kramer, who died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, are invited to graveside services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Allegheny County Memorial Park, Duncan Avenue, Allison Park, with the Rev. Jeff Lawther of Mars Alliance Church officiating.
