Vernon E. 'Vern' Reddick Sr.

Vernon E. “Vern” Reddick Sr., 70, of Boyers Road, Harrisville, died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

He was born Dec. 30, 1941, in Branchton, son of Charles E. Reddick and Violet J. McConnell Reddick.

Mr. Reddick was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School and New Castle Business School.

He was employed by Glenn O. Hawbaker Construction of Barkeyville as a highlift operator. Previously, he was employed at the former Campbell Asphalt Co. of Slippery Rock.

He was married to Judy E. Arblaster Reddick on Feb. 15, 1966, and she survives at home.

Mr. Reddick also is survived by a daughter, Melissa A. McNeish and her husband, Robert, of West Sunbury; a son, Ed Reddick Jr. of Grove City; four grandchildren, Nickolas Reddick, Zachary Reddick, Jacob Reddick and Megan McNeish; two sisters, Ruby Haylett and her husband, Norman, of Bessemer and Marilyn McDeavitt of Slippery Rock; and a brother, Leland E. Reddick and his wife, Edna, of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

REDDICK — There will be no visitation or service for Vernon E. “Vern” Reddick Sr., who died Thursday, May 17, 2012.
