Josephine Rob

Josephine M. Rob, 94, of Karns City died at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

She was born at R.D. 1 Cowansville, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, on April 21, 1918.

She was the wife of the late Frank V. Rob, who she married March 14, 1940, and who died Feb. 28, 1992.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Margo and Peter Perotti of Butler; her sons, John and Sally Rob of Warrenton, Va., Samuel and Edith Rob of Boiling Springs, Pa., and Stephen and Pam Rob of Karns City; seven grandchildren, Erin Perotti-Orcutt, Matthew Perotti, Seth Rob, Mark Rob, Brianna Rob, Samuel Rob and Jacob Rob; three great-granddaughters, Shayla Perotti-Orcutt, Lorelei Perotti-Orcutt and Julianna Perotti; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Perotti; six sisters; and five brothers.

ROB — Friends of Josephine M. Rob, who died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, will be received at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Chicora, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora. Funeral services follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Joseph Boomhower officiating.Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Kepples Corners, Chicora.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to handicap veterans associations of the donor’s choice.To extend condolences to her family or obtain directions and information go to www.steighnerfuneralhome.com.
