BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host the following events at Alameda Park.

• Terry Shanor at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Carousel Shelter as part of its outdoor discovery series. Shanor will discuss beekeeping, honey and more.

• Alameda story adventures from 11:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays through Aug. 16 in the Rotary Shelter.

• American Red Cross babysitting training class 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 18. Registration is required.
