Stephen Klabnik
Stephen Klabnik, 54, of Sarver went to be with his Lord at 7:31 a.m. Wednesday after a courageous battle with cancer at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia.
He was born April 1, 1958, in Natrona Heights, to the late John F. Klabnik and the late Marianne (Goldscheitter) Klabnik.
For the past 25 years he lived in Buffalo Township. He was a quality inspector for 17 years at Oberg Industries. He also was a cattle breeder and vegetable farmer.
He was a member of the Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, and served on the parish council. He was a 1976 graduate of Knoch High School.
His activities included the American British White Park Association, cattle breeding, the Pennsylvania Simply Sweet Onion Committee, and the Pennsylvania Vegetable Growers Association. He operated a U-pick blueberry farm. He had minor roles in Adoring Christ Through Song (ACTS), a Christian choir, orchestra and drama association.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Susan K. “Sue” (Huth) Klabnik; son, Stephen J. Klabnik of Pittsburgh; daughter, Jessica L. (Michael C.) Bradford Jr. of Manhattan, Kan.; son, Ken V. Klabnik at home; brothers, John J. (Cheryl) Klabnik of Butler, Michael Klabnik of Clinton Township, David (Amy) Klabnik of Winfield Township, Martin (Melissa) Klabnik of Buffalo Township, Paul V. (Julie) Klabnik of Edgewood and Matthew (Shannon) Klabnik of Winfield Township; sister, Adrienne (Mark A.) Adams of Buffalo Township; sister-in-law, Debra Kunicki of Buffalo Township; and 13 nieces and nephews. Numerous aunts and uncles also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Klabnik.
