John Rudiak

John A. Rudiak, 60, of Butler passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a six-month battle with mesothelioma.

John was born Nov. 7, 1951, in Butler to John and Alice Snyder Rudiak, who are deceased.

John worked at Ervin Industries, East Butler, in the shipping department. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, Pam (Riott), his dogs, Auggie, Jazz, Gina, Mugsy, and all of his cats. John also enjoyed gardening, biking, yard sales and Steelers football.

John is survived by his wife, whom he married on May 21, 1971; two sisters, Bonnie McConnell and her husband. Merle. of Niles, Ohio, and Mary Matis and her husband. Frank of Butler; one sister-in-law, Carol Blasko of Butler; and by a number of nephews.

RUDIAK— Friends of John A. Rudiak, 60, who passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Huber of North Street Christian Church will officiate. Burial will take place in the North Side Cemetery, Butler.Memorial donations may be made to the Simmons Mesothelioma Foundation, One Court St., Alton, Ill. 62002.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
