Mary A. Osche
Mary A. Osche, 77, of Butler passed away Monday afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
Born in Herman on Sept. 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Ida Stutz Mellish.
Formerly, she was employed at the City Market and the Jo-Dee Pizza Shop, and she worked as a cook at the St. Mary School in Herman until she retired.
She was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Osche and his wife, Patti, of Slippery Rock and Jim Osche and his wife, Deanna, of Cabot; four brothers, Joe Mellish and his wife, Nancy, of Saxonburg, George Mellish of Springdale, Raymond Mellish and his wife, Joan, of Virginia and Buzzy Mellish of East Butler; three sisters, Bernadette Brockman and her husband, Tom, of Fenelton, Rose Trimbur and her husband, Chuck, of Herman and Clara Jean Fundark and her husband, Rick, of Cabot; eight grandchildren, Mindy Osche of Trafford, Olivia Osche of Butler, Melissa Curtis and her husband, David, of Port Vue, Pa., Jimmy Osche of Ebensburg, Pa., Breanna Osche of Trafford, Ricky Osche of Slippery Rock, Chase Osche of Trafford, and Patrick Osche of Cabot; one great-grandson, Mason Osche of Ebensburg; and one step-great-granddaughter, Haley Curtis of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. “Dick” Osche, who passed away Aug. 21, 2010; and one brother, Andrew Mellish.
OSCHE — Friends of Mary A. Osche, who died Monday, June 18, 2012, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, with the Rev. Mark Carter, OFM Cap., officiating.
