Jean S. Schlarb Davage

Jean S. Schlarb Davage, 91, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Bakerstown, passed away Friday.

Born April 19, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Catherine (McGrath) Schlarb. She was the beloved wife of the late Nelson R. Davage.

She was the mother of Donald N. Davage of Raleigh, N.C., Nancy (Richard) Jones of Cary, N.C., and Joan (Gerald) Mullins of Saxonburg; and the sister of the late John G. Schlarb. She also is survived by her grandchildren, D.J. Davage, Blake Davage, Becci Ravera, Kasey Davage, Allison Marsh, Greg Jones, Scott Shaffer, Chris Shaffer and Evan Shaffer; and great-grandchildren, Jesse Ravera and Mackenzie Marsh.

Jean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown and the Richland Civic Club. She was a judge of elections and volunteered for Meals on Wheels while in Pennsylvania. In Raleigh, she was a member of the Springmoor Retirement Community’s Hot Shots singing group.

DAVAGE — The family of Jean S. Schlarb Davage, who died Friday, June 22, 2012, will welcome friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.
