Muren J. 'Sis' Beachem

Muren Beachem

Muren J. “Sis “ Beachem, 94, of Butler passed on to glory at 5:15 p.m. Monday in the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family at her side.

She was born in Jefferson County, Nov. 17, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Norman Minich and Carrie Snider Minich.

Mrs. Beachem was a member of the North Street Christian Church for 65 years. For many years she was a caregiver to various older family members. She was the manager of Wonday Film Service until 1987. She loved traveling, stitchery, playing cards and, most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She will be fondly missed by her two surviving daughters, Marlene Winters and her husband, Don, and Carolyn Beatty; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Sis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Beachem; her son, Eugene “Sonny” Beachem; three brothers; and four sisters.

She was fondly loved by all who knew her and will be remembered by many.

BEACHEM — Friends of Muren J. “Sis” Beachem, who passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at the North Street Christian Church at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Robert C. Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in the North Side Cemetery, Butler.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor for the hospice at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 107 Sunnyview Circle, Butler, PA 16001.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
