Betty Belle Wilson Kelly
Betty Belle Wilson Kelly, 82, of Chicora died peacefully at 5:40 a.m. Thursday in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler, after an extended illness.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, Chicora. She and her late husband, “Cubby,” enjoyed traveling and were charter members of the Buco Travel Trailer Club. She was active in the Handy Ann Hobby Club for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts, bowling, playing cards and other activities at the Chicora Senior Center. Later, she enjoyed playing bingo at Concordia Lutheran Assisted Living.
She was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Templeton, Armstrong County, the daughter of Harold H. Wilson and Florence V. Rhoads Wilson.
She married Kenneth P. “Cub” Kelly on June 11, 1949. He died on Feb. 22, 1997.
Surviving are her daughter, Gaelle Kelly of Monterey, Calif.; sons, Larry and Diana Kelly of Butler and Gary and Louise Kelly of Bairdford; granddaughter, Shanna Kelly; stepgrandchildren, Darrin Hutchens, Jill Friess and Edward Slesinski; five stepgreat-grandchildren; one niece; three nephews; and brother, Robert “Bo” and Arleen Wilson of Chicora.
KELLY — Friends of Betty Belle Wilson Kelly, who died Thursday, June 28, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E.
