Aaron M. Jones
Aaron M. Jones, 10, of Hyde Park went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday while in the company of family members at his home. Aaron lost his three-year fight with childhood leukemia.
Aaron was born in Natrona Heights on March 15, 2002. He was the son of Shelly J. (Davis) Jackson of Hyde Park and Michael D. Jones of Summit Township. He was a student at Allegheny Hyde Park Elementary School and had attended the Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church in New Kensington.
Aaron loved to watch NASCAR and root for he and his father's favorite driver, Bobby Labonte. He enjoyed watching the Pirates with his grandfather. He liked to play video games, play hockey, go roller blading, go to the Pittsburgh Zoo, ride his bike, watch monster truck races and listen to music on his iPod.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shelly J. (Kevin) Jackson, with whom he lived; his father and stepmother, Michael D. (Leslie Miller) Jones of Summit Township; his brother, Nathan Jones of Hyde Park; his stepsiblings, Brandon and Cara Jackson of Hyde Park and Morgan, Hope and A.J. Miller of Summit Township; his maternal grandparents, David and Darlene Davis of Allegheny Township; his paternal grandparents, David Jones of Tarentum and Pamela (Ralph) Stoner of Tarentum; his paternal great-grandfather, Edward Beam of Tarentum; his stepmaternal grandparents, Ronald and Kathy Jackson of Clearwater, Fla.; four uncles; one aunt; and numerous cousins. He also is survived by his pets, Flash, the Basset Hound, Ben, the Great Dane, Hemi, the Boxer; and his five cats, Sully, Ozzy, Dory, Mittens and Saddie.
Aaron was preceded in death by his uncle, Gregory Jones; and his paternal stepgrandparents, Ray and Florence Gillen.

Jones, who died Thursday, June 28, 2012, were received Sunday at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Funeral services were at the funeral home today with the Rev. Robert Henry officiating.
