Eva L. Labor

Eva Lydia Labor, 92, of Grove City, formerly of Garden Avenue, Butler, passed away peacefully Tuesday at Trinity Living Center.

Eva was born Aug. 12, 1919, to the late Valentino and Pia Tarabori Lavorini. She married Fred Labor on Oct. 9, 1940, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Butler. He preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1972.

Eva was a graduate of Butler High School, Butler. During her lifetime she worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Fred Labor Tire Service, for Mercer County Area Agency on Aging's Green Thumb Program, Mercer, and for George Junior Republic, Grove City, where she retired in 1994.

Eva was a member of The Church of The Beloved Disciple, Grove City, where she served on the Rosary Alter Society of the church.

She is survived by her six children, Mrs. Louis (Gloria) Caputo, Orlando, Fla.; Mrs. David (Freddie) Hannan, Bradford Woods; Mrs. Brent (Sally) Ohl, Butler; Doug Labor (Mary), Steamboat Springs, Col.; Mrs. Kerry (Stacey) Sanguigni, Gilbert, Ariz.; and Doreen Fox, Tampa, Fla. She also is survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Fred, Eva was preceded in death by three brothers, Marino, Julio and Frank Lavorini; her sister Gloria DeMatt and one son-in-law Kerry Sanguigni.

LABOR — Friends of Eva Lydia Labor, who passed away at 6:24 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, INC., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at The Church of The Beloved Disciple, 1310 S. Center St. Ext., Grove City. The Rev. Fr. Michael Allison is Celebrant.Burial is at Crestview Memorial Park, Inc., Pine Township.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of the donor’s choice.
