Walter W. McKruit

Walter William McKruit, 80, of Cabot passed away on Friday at his home.

Born April 19, 1932, in Butler County, he was the son of the late Edward and Pauline (Beblo) McKruit.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War.

He retired from Pullman Standard, where he worked in the maintenance department. He also was a retired Winfield Township supervisor. He enjoyed hunting and metal detecting.

Surviving are his loving sons, Gary (Sara) McKruit of Cabot and Dan “Trapper” (Tracy) McKruit of Cabot; his wife, Jo Marie Doughtery; his grandsons, John McKruit and Talon McKruit; and his siblings, Bernard (Joanne) McKruit of Saxonburg, Cathy Oliverio of Washington, Pa., and Agnes McKruit of Pittsburgh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

MCKRUIT — Friends of Walter William McKruit, who died Friday, July 20, 2012, will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
