Arnold 'Arnie' John Totin

Arnold “Arnie” John Totin, 66, of Butler passed away at 9:15 p.m. Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 5, 1946, in McKees Rocks, to the late Steve Totin and Mary Sosack Totin.

Mr. Totin was a graduate of Montour High School, and he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New York, Buffalo.

He started his career as project manager for Limbach Co. In 1989, he became the founder and owner of Pump Technology. Mr. Totin was also the owner of the UPS Store in Butler. He was a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

Mr. Totin is survived by his wife, Rachelle (Farrey) Totin, who he married June 29, 1985; four children, Rebecca Dadowski and her husband, Douglas, of Pittsburgh, Jason Totin of Gibsonia, Jennifer Totin of Glenshaw and Katelyn Kocher and her husband, Senior Airman Andrew Kocher, of Tuscon, Ariz.; five grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Totin and his wife, Lisa, of New Castle; and a number of nieces and nephews.

TOTIN — Friends of Arnold “Arnie” John Totin, who passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with Father James Murphy officiating.

Members of the Bereavement Committee of the St. Fidelis Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday to recite the rosary.
