Mr. Edward Kenneth Alberth, 77, of Sparta, Tenn., formerly of Fombell, passed away Sunday.

He was the longtime companion of Flo Campbell of Sparta; the loving father of Lisa (Larry) Brown of New York and Chris (Angie) Alberth of Fombell; Pappy to Megan Brown, Rachel (Jason) Beatty, Chad Alberth and Chelsea Alberth; brother of Paul Alberth of Sparta; and Paw Paw to Daly Hummelt, Britanie Clark and the late Gerhard Hummelt.

Ed was born Sept. 3, 1934, and was the son of the late Edward P. and Thelma (Herr) Alberth and step-mother, Mildred Alberth.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He worked as a maintenance worker, specializing in air conditioning and refrigeration, and as a groundskeeper at Sparta Country Club.
