George L. Wilson Jr.
George L. Wilson Jr., 55, of Butler passed away Wednesday.
He was born June 9, 1957, in Butler to Janet (Fleeger) Wilson and the late George Wilson Sr.
George was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a 1975 graduate from Butler Senior High School. Following high school, he worked as a bricklayer, construction worker and also at Spang and Magnetics. He currently was employed at AK Steel in the melt shop, where he had been working for the past 26 years.
George was a member of the Butler Hunting and Fishing Club. In his teenage years, he was an amateur boxer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and was a dirt track enthusiast. His free time was devoted to his grandchildren and helping friends and family.
George is survived by his wife, Diana (Duvalois) Wilson, who he married on Feb. 14, 1980; one son, LeGrand Wilson of Warner Robins, Ga.; one daughter, Dacia Ryhal and her husband, Josh, of Greenville; three grandchildren, Brock Wilson, Peyton Ryhal and Gavin Ryhal; his mother, Janet (Fleeger) Wilson of East Butler; two sisters, Pamela Turner and her husband, Dufford, of West Jordan, Utah, and Kimberly Patrick and her husband, George, of Mount Chestnut; two brothers, Walter Wilson and his wife, Mary, of Euclid and Jeffery Wilson and his wife, Patty, of Ford City; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, George L.Wilson Sr.
WILSON — Friends of George L. Wilson Jr., who died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon and 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
