2:46 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Diana S. Spinetti, 43, of Chicora and a mail truck driven by Erick E. Hortert, 45, of Butler collided on East Diamond Street near South Main Street. No one was injured, and Spinetti was cited for failure to properly open/close a vehicle door.2:38 p.m. Friday — Someone stole a girl's 20-inch Pretty in Pink bicycle from the side porch of the residence at 216 First St. Anyone with information should call police at 724-287-7743.9:49 a.m. Aug. 20 — A tractor trailer driven by William J. Goldbraith, 56, of Kittanning and a car driven by Mary A. Smallwood, 73, of Butler collided at the intersection of Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street. Smallwood suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital. Goldbraith was cited for a red light violation.

8:50 p.m. Tuesday — A pallet containing a vehicle transmission was dropped or placed on Route 8 at the Route 422 exit ramp near Bon Aire Plaza and was hit by two vehicles. A vehicle driven by Hal Foss of Butler ran over the transmission, which lodged under his vehicle, but he was able to safely pull into the lot at Bon Aire Plaza. A second vehicle, driven by Alan Paul of Butler, struck debris from the previous crash while merging onto Route 8.Anyone with information about the owner of the transmission should call police at 724-285-9600.

Tuesday — Someone stole more than 1,000 feet of copper wire, valued at more than $2,800, from the Cooper Bessemer Building on Lincoln Avenue. Anyone with information should call police at 724-458-7925.Aug. 17 — After completing an investigation into the death of Justin Griffin, 15, of Grove City, who was killed when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of North Broad and Chestnut streets, police will not file charges against the truck's driver, Elmer Elder, 46, of Grove City.Aug. 7 — Nicole Joi Fleming, 25, of Grove City was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following her arrest on an outstanding warrant in an unrelated case.

10:57 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Brenda L. Clarke, 43, of Emlenton crashed into a guide rail along Route 68 near Walker Farm Road in Toby Township, Clarion County. Clarke, who suffered a minor injury, was cited for driving at unsafe speed.

The Butler County DUI Task Force will conduct roving DUI patrols throughout the Labor Day weekend as part of its Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign.
