PENN TWP — John Aubrey of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred and amateur David DeNunzio fired a better-ball round of 65 to finish in second place at the Butler Country Club Pro-Scratch Amateur Monday.

The duo was one shot behind champion John Aber of Allegheny Country Club and Arnie Cutrell.

Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club and Geoff Patterson, along with David Yokitis of Butler Country Club and Rob Stoops were part of a five-way tie for fifth place (67), while Dennis Munko of Birdsfoot Golf Club and Adam Langford tied for 10th place (68)with nine other twosomes.

Joe Boros of Treesdale Golf and Country Club and Yokitis tied for second in the professional event (70), while McClellan, Munko and Aubrey were part of a seventh-place tie. DeNunzio tied for third in the amateur event.

LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University redshirt sophomore free safety Isaiah Coleman has been named PSAC-Western Division Football Defensive Player of the Week.Coleman intercepted two passes and recorded a team-high 12 tackles in The Rock's 38-18 victory over Gannon University on Saturday.

Knoch graduate Julia Kleinfelder had 14 kills and Butler graduates Christina Farmer and Makenzie Huey had 12 kills and 21 digs, respectively, but the Point Park University volleyball team downed BC3 25-23, 25-20, 19-25, 25-17 on Monday.Bethany Eason added 15 digs for the Pioneers (10-3), who host a tri-match Wednesday against CC-Beaver County and Mercyhurst Northeast.
