Alex R. Hegedus
Alex R. Hegedus, 77, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away at the Chicora Medical Center on Tuesday with his family at his side.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Betty Lou; his daughter, Patti Kuca and her husband, Frank, of Wheeling, W.Va; and his son, Mike Hegedus and his wife, Molly, of Chicora. He also leaves six grandchildren, Frank, Kevin and Kyle of Wheeling and Megan, Annie and Emily of Chicora; two great-grandchildren, Kara and Macie; and two sisters, Teresa Suto and Rose Spisich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Susan and Paul; and his sister, Annie Pempek.
He was born March 25, 1935, in Benwood, W.Va. He graduated from Linsly Military Institute in Wheeling. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed by Wheeling Stamping for almost 50 years.
Alex enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and, most importantly, spending time with his family.
HEGEDUS — Family and friends of Alex R. Hegedus, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Kepner Funeral Home Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, W.Va. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
